Privacy

What this website and the mod collect, why, and what they never collect.

The website

  • Anonymous audience measurement: no cookie, no account. We count page views and clicks on links and, on part of the visits, where people click and how far they read. Visits are never recorded for replay. It tells us which parts of the page interest people, and which to improve.
  • Do not track: if your browser asks not to be tracked, nothing is measured.
  • Demo video: it only loads when you click it. From then on, YouTube's rules apply.

Mod statistics

  • Off unless you agree: at the first launch, the mod asks whether you agree to share anonymous usage statistics. Without your consent, nothing is collected or sent. You can change your mind at any time in Settings > Mods.

What is collected, and why

Only if you agreed, and only these categories: our server rejects anything else.

Features used

Building, crafting, filling machines, stacking, armor stands, automatic refuel: how often, and whether the action worked or why it could not.

Why: Know which features really matter and which ones fail, to pick what to improve first.

Size of actions

Items moved, chests used and machines filled, number of workbenches and chests in the network.

Why: Fit the mod to players' real bases, from the smallest to the largest.

Multiplayer

Chest sharing between players (requests granted or refused, waiting time) and the version check when joining.

Why: Make sure nothing is ever duplicated or lost, and cut the wait when several players use the same chests.

Speed

How long the mod takes to find the chests of the network.

Why: Make sure the mod never slows the game down.

Errors

The kind of error and the feature involved, with no message or detail.

Why: Fix bugs, sometimes before anyone reports them.

Settings

The options turned on or off and the choices made in the mod's settings.

Why: Know whether the default settings suit most players.

Game context

Mod and game versions, operating system, game language, solo, hosted or server game, number of players and of other mods as ranges, and a signal every minute to count the games in progress.

Why: Reproduce bugs in the same conditions, choose which translations to polish and spot incompatibilities with other mods.

What is never collected

  • Your Steam ID, your player or character name
  • Your world's name or seed, your position
  • Your server's name or address
  • What your chests hold, the names of items or of your other mods
  • Error messages

Each game gets a random number, forgotten when the game closes: two games are never linked together.

  • Your IP address: as with any website, our server sees it when it receives the statistics, but it does not keep it nor link it to them.
  • Never in your way: statistics are sent every minute and when the game closes, in the background, without ever slowing the game. If our server does not answer, they are dropped. Turning statistics off stops them at once.
